This 1984 masterpiece of a home perched atop Hollywood with a front & center view of the iconic sign, was designed by architect Michael Pierce of Michael Pierce and Associates.

The 4000 sq ft, three-story stucco house has 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. It has many custom features, bleached oak floors, Vermont slate floors, green Athenian, marble countertops in the baths and kitchen, custom-made and custom colored railings, custom designed furniture. Pierce designed some of the furniture herself using postmodern forms in colors chosen.

The rounded contours of the house were created to mimic the appearance of a television screen. In fact, you will notice squares that mimic screens all over the property.

The owner was the Creator of 80’s classic TV shows, “Dallas,” & “Knots Landing.”

2. MAINTENANCE! Don’t defer it! It will keep the dollars in your pocket later vs having to sell a fixer with peeling paint for top dollar. NAH. 🔨

3. The “HONEY, STOP THE CAR,” moment comes from beautiful curb appeal! 🌱 if the garden is manicured, has a vibe and looks a appealing THEY WILL COME!

4. CLUTTER KILLS! 🗑️ All those little nicknacky things our homes collect is junking up your space. Make sure every countertop and surface is free of stuff. Nobody wants to see your Patron bottle collection and your piles of pennies.

5. STAGING! 🛋️ not all stagers are created equal. The super cheap stagers make a house feel cheap. Why would a high-paying buyer want that? Even a partial staging can give it a GLOW UP it needs to feel cohesive. staging is a very small amount to pay for making your home look like a sexy hotel or furniture store. ✨

6. ALLOW SHOWINGS! 🪧 I get it, we are private people, and the idea of having 100 people traipse through your sanctuary can be unnerving. But if people can’t get in the door, they can’t fall in love, and they can’t make an offer that you can’t refuse. 🤌

7. CONSIDER ALL OFFERS. We all place sentimental value on our homes, especially if we have invested a lot. We often feel they are even more valuable than another person would. My husband surprised me for by birthday by getting us a private tour of The Shag House and needless to say I was TICKLED PINK for the whole time! 😍
