So how do you spot QUALITY new construction vs. something that might not age well? Look for:

– Workmanship: Even surfaces: Look for straight lines, level floors, and properly aligned walls 
– Seamless finishes: Check for gaps between walls and ceilings, poorly fitted trim, and uneven paint jobs are Solid core doors: If they feel hollow, run.
– Engineered hardwood floors: Not laminate. Just say NO to PERGO!
– Quartz countertops & full backsplashes: Cheap finishes = cut corners.
– Overall weight & feel: If everything feels plastic-y and flimsy, it probably is.

Why consider new construction? A 10-year structural warranty 🤩 That means no surprise foundation or roof issues (aka no major headaches for a decade). Plus, developers often throw in incentives that make buying even sweeter.
