The BIRDSHIT GRANITE HOUSE… what is this? Keep reading. My first house was hardly anything you’d humblebrag about. It was a 1928 Spanish bungalow—except, it looked more like an ’80s Marriott or Hot Dog Stand. Red metal awnings, blue stucco walls, pink marble fireplace, bad builder grade cabinets with (my favorite) BIRD SHIT GRANITE countertops from Home Depot. It had very little charm left. 😪 I was certainly no Designophile- and I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew one thing: I could do better!
If you’re a first-time homebuyer, where do you start? With inspiration ✨ Before you even think about renovations, start collecting ideas—Pinterest, Houzz, Dwell, Domino, whatever sparks that “I want this” feeling. Because the truth is, renovation is a process.
– Most people don’t have unlimited budgets to tackle everything at once.
– The best transformations happen over time (I’ve lived through my fair share of dust).
– Every home I’ve bought, I’ve renovated slowly—learning what works and what definitely doesn’t.
That experience? It’s why buyers trust me. I’ve done it all, from gut jobs to slow, thoughtful upgrades. So if you’re thinking of buying a fixer-upper but don’t know where to start, start with me! Let’s chat 💬

It’s the mess you don’t see…
I’ve seen it all in real estate transactions. There’s obvious messes like a cluttered, run down house, to seemingly teeny-tiny annoying messes like expired permits from 15+ years ago that NEED to be cleaned up before coming to market and certainly will delay closing. 🔑
Make sure you hire an agent who knows what to look for and will fight to get those messes cleaned up so you aren’t inheriting it.
Forward 👉to a friend who could use an agent who is squeaky clean 😉

I worked in historic Redlands, California on HGTV’s Restored with Brett Waterman and I learned about the lost art of skilled trades we RARELY see installed in homes anymore. Here’s what I miss most ⬇️
– Millworkers – The artists behind hand-carved staircases and custom woodwork! Barley Twist decorative posts on front porches, wood carved banisters, and of course crown molding, base molding and wood panels.
-Stained glass – Once a staple of beautiful homes, now practically extinct 🏺✨
– Custom cabinetry – Solid wood, not particle board covered in laminate (and definitely not meant to be painted 😠)
– Light fixtures – Once handcrafted and unique…now? Just mass-produced “boob lights” everywhere 😩
If you want to feel what real quality is like, let me show you homes that were built to last. Character, craftsmanship, and detail still exist—you just have to know where to look 👀

It wasn’t the luck of the Irish…☘️
that got this 3,300 sq ft view 🤩 home in Eagle Rock West under contract in 3 days! 🔥 🔥 🔥
It was 3 key steps:
☑️Prep the home 🏠 Declutter & De-personalize
☑️Pics- Getting my wizbang architectural photographer to capture the beauty and potential of the home
☑️Price it right! This is everything!
☑️Pre-marketing! I sent the home out on ACME’s airwaves & my mailing list to get as many eyeballs as possible.
We had several private showings and BAM 💥 offers rolled in even before the first open house!
