Before becoming a Realtor and succumbing to her torrid love affair with real estate, Emily had an illustrious career producing non-fiction television for such networks as ABC, NBC, CBS, LIFETIME, HGTV and DIY. She won an Emmy Award for producing Extreme Makeover Home Edition in 2005.

But the real estate bug bit her when she was just 26 and purchased her first fixer home in Atwater Village. It kicked off a curiosity for architecture, design and renovation. While working on numerous renovation TV series’ she continued to follow the housing market and design trends.  After 18 years of making the impossible happen in Reality TV she’s proud of her resourcefulness,  ability to multi-task in her sleep, and her infectiously positive attitude. Her reputation is one of truly caring about people and wanting to see them reach their maximum potential, be that in a home or in wealth building.

With her knowledge of construction and design Emily’s super-skills are being able to identify a great house, all the while really listening to what her clients want and finding properties that tick all the boxes.  Her favorite moment is seeing someone move into their forever home and start living well.

My 2025 LA market outlook did a complete 180. 🔄

LA real estate has always been competitive, but when external factors come into play (like, say, massive fires that displace thousands 🙁), things can change fast. We were already dealing with a housing shortage, and now? The market is tightening even more. The rental market? Forget it!

For buyers, this means fewer options and increased competition—but also new opportunities in new construction and off-market deals. For sellers? The demand is there, and it’s growing.

What does this mean for you? Strategic timing is everything. If you’re wondering whether to buy now, wait, or sell at the right moment, let’s chat. The market waits for no one.

What are your thoughts—are we heading toward a seller’s market? Drop your take in the comments! ⬇️

I’ve been called, “The Carpet Puller” and it’s not just because I feel a certain kind of way about carpet. 🔪

When inspecting older homes with my buyers, I have one rule: Uncover & discover! 👀 Ugly carpet? Might be original hardwood. Random drywall covering? Could be hiding historic details like a original ironing board or window! Unusual wall placement? Probably a clue to the home’s original layout.

Here in Northeast LA, so many homes have had their character covered up instead of restored (sometimes like a hackjob). And trust me, knowing what to pull back (and what to leave alone) can make all the difference. HELLO ASBESTOS!!! 😳

Want to learn how to spot hidden gems in plain sight? Let’s explore some of NELA’s historic homes together.
