The Best NELA Bars for a Cozy Cocktail this Winter!

DoLA and Deep Eddy Vodka created a “Coziest Bars in LA” list. We think it’s pretty great. So great, that it inspired us to create our own version: an Eastside version!

So here it is, our list of the best of the best Eastside hideouts for the winter months ahead. Escape to a cozy corner of these bars and pretend that the weather outside is actually frightful!

Silver Lake – Bar Stella

Mood lighting, luxury cocktails, and cozy couches are just what you need for a night on the town in the “cold” of winter. Grab your best LA version of a winter coat, your significant other, and snag a corner couch seat where you can sip artisan cocktails in comfort while snuggling up close and tight.

Los Feliz – Ye Rustic Inn

A dive bar had to make the list, as they are the classic Thanksgiving-eve gathering spot for small towns across America. Ye Rustic Inn has the classic comfy bar seats, cheap draft beer, and even hot wings to make you miss that little town that you left back in the Midwest for LA.

Echo Park – El Prado

What better to warm the soul than a glass of red, a record spinning, a crowded tiny bar, and close seating for two? This is your spot for all of that and more. The lovely selection of wine and beer is painted on the mirror, you can request records at the bar, and the brick and wood interior walls are design-savvy for cozy winter vibes!

Glassell Park – Verdugo Bar

Sometimes you just need a good old fashioned wood bar and long-stretching booth with mini cocktail tables to make you long for the Holidays. Verdugo Bar’s great selection of craft beer will keep your tastebuds flourishing all through the night. Cozy up among strangers at the booth and then invite them to join you for a classic Los Angeles food truck experience at the patio out back. After all, the weather outside will probably be balmy enough to dine al fresco, despite our greatest wishes.

Highland Park – ETA

You want intimate, innovative, and delicious? You’re in luck! Highland Park’s newcomer, ETA, is the prime choice for Eastside craft cocktails. We love the line of bar stools along the skinny brick wall bar and the variety of design-conscious chair options to huddle around for close conversation with friends. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll grab the plush corner couch seat for the ultimate romantic drink on the town. This is your new go-to spot for a sophisticated and tasty, yet comforting and cozy cocktail.

Eagle Rock – Room 31

A speakeasy hideaway is the best place to go when you want to escape and be with the people you love (or perhaps just yourself). Carefully crafted cocktails will keep you sipping late into the night. With a secret entrance and all, this is the ultimate getaway to relax, have a delicious drink, and feel an air of total comfort. You’ll forget what season it even is… though, if you had to guess, the moody blue hues would certainly make you think of winter!
