We simply cannot get enough of the bright and bold colors, the artistry of painted ceramic tiles, and the variety of shapes and sizes we are seeing. We also are swooning over Marrakech Design, who tout themselves as “the specialist in cement tiles,” and we have to agree! Finally, we want to give a shout-out to Mercury Mosaics, which features “Handmade Artisan Tile in the NE Minneapolis Arts District.” Right here in America, churning out beautiful pieces by hand. They “start with raw clay and we wedge, shape, extrude, glaze & fire it before we assemble the finished product by hand and ship it off to you!” Pretty cool. We are pretty sure that coffee shops from Silver Lake’s Intelligentsia all the way to the far East end of NELA could have their very own tile account just like the one above.
